United Healthcare Medicare Advantage Care Group Plan for Retirees
Brothers and Sisters:
There were questions from our members who selected United Health Care as their Medicare Advantage Plan Carrier for the year 2024. Then in 2025 were told that their primary care and/or specialty providers were no longer in the Network. I called United Health Care and was told that if we choose to keep our providers, they will pay for services as an out of network provider at the same rate as in network providers. The dollar amount was not given. If you have any questions about this, please call United Health Care at 1-877-842-3210. You can also call Customer Service at 1-866-819-3448. The numbers are on the back of your healthcare cards. Let me know if you have any problems.
Also, remember that we have a cap on copays each year. if you reach your copay cap and are still being charged, you can request and be reimbursed. Make sure to keep track of your copay charges.
