My Favorite Poem Has Always Been The Road Not Taken: By Robert Frost.

My favorite poem has always been The Road Not Taken, by Robert Frost.  I remember doing a reading of this in Mrs. Devlin’s speech class in my Junior year at Bishop Noll Institute.  The road, itself, symbolizes the journey of life, and in life, we are often presented with choices. When making a choice, one is required to make a decision. Viewing a choice as a fork in a path, it becomes clear that we must choose one direction or another, but not both.

I have made many choices in my life, some good, some bad, some unforgettable.  The one that changed my life was in 1982 when I first met CWA 5012 Local President Evelyn Ross.  She will always be my first mentor and friend that started me on this amazing journey.

Although I once believed the Road Not Taken was less traveled…I found that it has and still continues to be well traveled by those that came before me, those that walked with me and the Leaders that will follow.

After 37 years I am choosing another path, that of retirement.  It was an honor for me to serve Local 5012/4250 as your Secretary-Treasurer, Vice President, Executive Vice President and President. Thank you all for traveling this road with me, for it has completely altered the person I have become.

I will be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

Please give a very warm welcome to
