Lela Foreman,Long Time CLUW Officer and CWA Women's Director
Dear CLUW Members,
We are saddened to inform you of the death of Lela Foreman, long time CLUW officer and mother of current CLUW Vice President (OPEIU) Theresa Kandt. She was elected as Recording Secretary at CLUW’s second biennial convention in April 1982 and later became Treasurer continuously serving until October of 2001. She served for 26 years as CWA’s Women’s Director rising from the ranks of CWA Local 6012 in her native Muskogee, Oklahoma. Her contributions will endure and she will be sorely missed.
