CWA President Morty Bahr testified at the U.S. Senate Judiciary hearing on July 22, 2003 investigating MCI/WorldCom's bankruptcy and competition issues. Among other things, Bahr said, "No company, including Enron, has done as much damage to the American economy through corrupt practices as WorldCom. The federal government must send a clear message that it will not coddle corporate crime. It is long past time for the Department of Justice to initiate a criminal case against WorldCom, for the federal government to DEBAR WORLDCOM FROM CONTRACTS, and prevent its unfair use of tax loopholes."
