Although the fighting is not completely over in the Iraqi city of Umm Qasr, the Bush Administration is rushing ahead with plans to reopen that key Persian Gulf Port. They have hired, anti-union, Stevedoring Services of America (SSA)to manage the reopened port. SSA was considered the main U.S. corporate culprit in the West Coast lockout of U.S. port workers.
