IBEW Local 21 AT$T Bargaining Update #29
Contract Negotiations with AT&T continued today at the National Table, and in the Prem Tech and Customer Consultant Bargaining Sub-Committees. At the National table, all of the articles in our contract were reviewed and discussed in detail. Some progress has been made, but there are still many unresolved issues including medical benefits, pensions, Prem Techs, and Customer Consultants as well as some of the articles in the contract.As many of you know, throughout most of these negotiations, AT&T had continually refused to discuss retiree health care with our Union. However, as we have been reporting at the Unit meetings, because of your mobilization efforts, we are now engaged in retiree health care discussions with AT&T. This issue is far from resolved, but, we are beginning to move in the right direction on retiree health care.
